Description
Little Princess
Little Princess is a book by Conor Grennan. This book explains how the life of the author changes after deciding to bring back the children from the orphanage. The life of the author changes as he had other individuals that were involved with him which was not the case before he had decided to bring them back.
In this chapter the author explains how the children came to the place they were which the orphanage was,. It all happened when a man who was well known due to his political position and power, promised to take care of those children whose parents were poor. The politician promised to help those children and save them from slavery, forced labor as well as joining rebel army. Since the parents were poor, thy decided to give him that chance to offer them help. They gave him their hope and trusted the man with their children. They came together, collected, some money as appreciation to the politician but once he got the money he ended up abandoning the children, forcing them to engage in hard work as well as selling them.
The boys at the orphanage and their caretakers spend most of their time on the roof in order to gets some respite from the hot weather. On one such day they observe a strange woman approach the orphanage, a woman who turns out to be Krish and Nuraj’s mother. Connor and invite the woman into the orphanage and subsequently she tells them about the history of her family and how they all ended up at that place. She and her husband were forced to send the two boys away to avoid them being conscripted by Maoist rebels, but the person they trusted to do so turned out to be a child trafficker, and they lost their children who later ended up at the orphanage.
Grennan, who is in this case the author, took his time to trek through mountainous areas, hoping to find the parents of the children alive in order to tell them of what was going on. He trekked for long distances taking personal risks to make certain that he met these parents and tell them of their children. This is because of the pity he felt for the kids, having in mind that it was not right for them to suffer as they were. He neither experiences lots of failures in his struggling but is nor ready to give up. In his quest h eventually falls in love but this does not make him forget his mission of finding the parents and informing them of their children.
Conor tried to get the seven children to open up and play silly games with him. He tried to brighten their attitudes by taking their pictures (most of the children had not seen their own faces before, it was a very exciting experience for them). But while the children were becoming more playful, the political situation in Nepal grew worse. Conor and Farid rushed to find a home for the seven children, but it was growing more hopeless.
Analysis
According to the chapter it is clear that the author, Conor Grennan, is a very caring and loving individual. Conor shared his original motivations and intentions for going to Nepal. All the activities carried out by the author are mentioned in order to bring out the meaning and help the readers understand the purpose of his actions, to bring life to how his attitude toward helping the orphans had changed drastically. The book is written in a very straight-forward tone, yet provides all the necessary information about the children, the author, and their relationship. It also provides additional information on the private life and thoughts of the author which is not necessarily the main topic, but provides more insight as to why he does the things he does. This is the reason why Little Princes is referred to as an inspiring book.
This part of the book is very emotional. The author manages to show the plight of the people being mistreated by the Maoists to such a degree that it almost feels as if the reader is experiencing it firsthand. The author paints a vivid picture of the situation that allows the reader to appreciate the plight of the poor peasants. The reader can also feel the pain felt by the parents, especially after the boys’ father walks all the way to Kathmandu only to realise that he has been duped and has lost his family.
Generally, the story in this book is touching and uplifting, looking at the characteristics given to the author and how he struggles overcoming challenges to accomplish his mission. It is as well a refreshing story which tells of a young man who is out to look for adventure and ends up finding maturity in the middle of his purpose. It is a story that raises the spirit and reminds the readers about the capacity of joy and the strength children have. It is also a story which tells how good deeds can be drawn from a charitable act by an individual.

I- Introduction: Everyone should know how to write not just read and listen. Our challenge as international students is how to write in English, so my group and I are going to help you guys with steps that will help all of you with your writing skills.
II- Body:
Use a variety of writing sources. The sources can help you develop your writing skills, some are very common and some you may have not even considered.
Use internet is also another collective source of writing techniques, and they are not hard to find.
Do some researches. This important step is necessary to give your writing some added value for your readers. While it may not be the most fun aspect of writing, it is something that every writer should be willing to do. Whether you are a weekend book reviewer or a corporate speech writer, your readers will certainly recognize your hard work and quality writing.
Develop confidence. If you don't have confidence there is no need to worry, it may be easier to come by than you think. I always think one important thing to myself, "I could have written that."
Take break if necessary, to combat stress. It helps to step away for moment. Fresh air, a glass of water and cup of coffee cloud provide you with approach to your writing.
Read as much as possible. Exposing yourself to what others have written is a great tool. Read books, newspapers and magazines. This will help you with style, sentence structure and word usage.
III- Conclusion: Finally, I believe that if you put anything as a goal for you, you can reach it there is nothing impassable in this life, we are still learning how to write in English but hopefully in the end of this semester we will be improving our skills so we can become good writers.

Little Princess" preview
“Little princess” is a book written by Conor Grennan, who explains to us the meaning of his journey to Nepal and how it changed his life in a drastic unexpected way. After working 8 years for the same company Conor gets bored of it therefore he uses his savings to pay for the expenses for volunteering in one of the poorest country in the world. His first thoughts about the trip was to make himself feel better and impress his family and friends which was something he did not accomplish. He spontaneously makes a decision to take a one-year journey, which includes three months volunteering in Kathmandu, Nepal. The 18 orphans he took care of during the civil war were children from poor families that could not keep their children safe. The downhearted conditions and purity of the children’s feelings toward Conor made him soften his heart with them. Knowing that the children could not take care of themselves brought sorrow to him plus the way of living life was very undeveloped. From spending time with the orphans side by side, the children became like his own family, which furthermore gave him the strength to want to improve the lives of the orphans. He made a promise to return to them and he did.
Life and living conditions became more familiar to Conor after a good amount of time had passed by making it easier for him to care for the children and help them better. With this increase of interest Conor became aware of a different orphanage that had children that had encountered similar difficulties living. Conor knew that by helping the kids he was capable of doing anything to make a difference in their lives.
Conor did a fantastic job at keeping the reader engaged in the reading. The content of the book was explained well, easy to follow and was very interesting since he made it more personal. At the beginning I didn’t think the story was going to follow the path it did but I was intrigued with the events taking place. Conor was very good to the children and it amazing how little things can make big differences and especially for those children that at that point had little hope.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone because it’s not only interesting but it’s also educational. Personally I did not know much about Nepal so my knowledge grew about this country in a way that I least expected.
Little Princes
After looking at many adventurous volunteering opportunities he decided that going to Nepal was what he needed to do. Conor had graduated from college eight years ago and needed a radical change in his life. He enjoyed his job yet after working there so long he was bored of it therefore he decided to spend his money on a good deed, volunteering. His previous job had been at the East West Institute, an International public policy think tank out of the Prague office. At this point in his life he was not looking to settle to have a family. He hoped that volunteering in an orphanage would impress his friends to think he was not selfish. Conor was single, did not have a wife nor kids therefore he had enough money saved to spend for a year around the world. While in Nepal one of the worlds poorest country, he went through a dynamic change in his way of viewing the orphans. He knew that He had gone to Nepal for other reasons not the orphans but when he continuously grew closer to the orphans they became like his family so he made sure to let them know that he would be back in one year.
Who am I?
Who am I ?
Everyone in this world has their own personalities, traits, habits etc. its not easy to describe ones self personality because others know you best yet from what I hear continuously Ahmad, myself of course is a Saudi caring person. Caring because when it comes to helping others I don’t see obstacles. Helping others is a way of showing love, is a way of expressions ones feelings and most important of all it makes the person being helped feel great. All of us can think of a situations when we just wished someone would give us a hand to make things simpler, that’s what I like doing making a difference in a person’s life to the best of my ability.
I’m a friendly person. I have countless friends. Sharing silly, crazy, sad, happy moments is leaving a trademark in yesterday’s history. The people I cherish these moments with are a second family to me.
What is honesty? Honesty is what describes me the most. I can’t take a lie from anyone and if I can’t have someone lie to me I cant lie to them either. One thing always leads to the other so why continue on a lie that had no end. I’m not perfect. No one is. We all make mistakes but if we keep things clear form the beginning than there should never be a misunderstanding.
We all deserve respect. I respect others so I have the same expectations of them. It might not work this way but I’d like to think it does.
